Waking Life is a week-long art and music festival held in Crato, Portugal. I was commissioned to design a contribution page as part of the essential handouts distributed to approximately 10,000 attendees upon arrival at the festival.

My goal was to create something that could enhance the on-site experience and encourage personal engagement. The page is divided into two interactive sections:
The upper section is a customizable timetable inspired by my own experiences — and those of friends — at multi-day festivals with multiple stages. It allows attendees to plan their days and also serves as a diary to capture memories in chronological order. The lower section invites attendees to slow down and be present, encouraging them to explore their surroundings through open-ended drawing and mindful observation.
For the visual direction, I combined hand-drawn and digital illustration to evoke a warm, tactile feeling. To guide users in how to interact with the page, I included a sample activity along with illustrated examples and a short explanation.
In addition, I designed an open call advertisement for an upcoming zine project associated with the festival. The zine aims to collect a variety of artistic responses from attendees. Its handmade aesthetic complements the contribution page, maintaining a cohesive visual tone across both pieces.
